TBI Needs Assessment and Planning

Public consultation forums and focus groups complete; surveys still available

The Brain Injury Association of Kansas and Greater Kansas City is listening to those affected by TBI including military service members, military veterans, and older Kansans especially, as well as the general public. The big question we have been asking is this: What TBI services do people across Kansas need, and how can public and private organizations best provide them?

To help answer this question, in January and February we conducted six focus groups and four public forums across Kansas. This effort was part of a TBI needs assessment and strategic planning project funded by the Kansas Department of Social and Rehabilitation Services, through a grant from the federal government. States across the country do similar projects every four to five years; Kansas completed its last needs assessment and planning project in 2002.

You can still make your voice heard by completing a survey online. There are separate surveys for:

If you participated in one of the focus groups or public forums and took a survey there, you do not need to take the survey online.

Our sincere thanks to everyone who gave generously of their time to help us help Kansans with TBI lead fuller lives.
